News from the Ludwigshafen Municipal Waste Incineration Plant

During the revisions of the flue gas cleaning lines 2 and 3 at the Ludwigshafen Municipal Waste Incineration Plant, we, in collaboration with our client, are taking a significant step towards sustainability and environmental protection.

The currently installed natural gas burners are being replaced through innovative, high-pressure steam gas preheaters, minimising the natural gas consumption. In addition to the high-pressure gas preheaters, Wallstein has been awarded the contract for the inlet and outlet hoods, as well as for the insulation.

The contract covers the entire process chain, starting with the engineering, followed by manufacturing and delivery. Included in this scope of work is also the CFD analysis and the disassembly of the components to be replaced, as well as the installation of the new ones. Finally, we ensure that with the commissioning of the steam gas preheaters, the Ludwigshafen Municipal Waste Incineration Plant can resume its operations in full capacity.

The delivery date for this energy-efficient and sustainable modernisation project is scheduled for April/May 2024.

We look forward to once again making a positive contribution to the environment with this project!
