In the east, south, and now also in the north of Germany, thousands of people are fighting against the floods caused by burst river banks...
...There is no end in sight, even if the rainfall decreases; additional dykes threaten to break. Every day, we see news coverage of the current emergency in the flooded areas and are also encouraged to donate.
We have taken this as an opportunity to initiate our own private fundraiser, true to the motto "don't wait, act". Based on the projects executed in the power and waste incineration industries in the last 5 years, we have calculated how much CO2 savings we were able to realise thanks to orders from you, our customers. In total, we were able to save about 1.2 million tonnes of CO2! Thus, in co-operation with our customers, we have made a significant contribution to improving the climate problem. With a donation of €5,000, we will now make an additional contribution to improving the situation in the flooded areas.
In addition, we would like to again ask all of our customers to think about projects in energy savings and heat recovery. Of course, we are willing to actively support you in these considerations. Please send ideas and project enquiries to tatenstattwarten@wallstein.de under the heading "flood relief". In subsequent Newsl@tters, we will report on these new projects and the success of our new "don't wait, act" campaign.
