The integration of the Wallstein and Rothemühle is in progress. An important part of this process is the transfer of know-how pertaining to the Delta Wing® technology. For this purpose, the German/Polish team participated in a 10-day workshop at Howden, a company in Wenden. A common understanding of the functionality of Delta Wings® and its possible applications stood in the foreground.
The Delta Wing® technology is a static mixer based on the leading edge vortex principle. The reliable and maintenance-free Delta Wings® enables exceptional results in terms of mixing and flow distribution, especially in case of high-dust gas flows.
The team was supported by Howden’s (previously Balcke-Dürr) highly experienced specialist who explained the correct handling of measurement instruments on a physical model. On this basis, steps required for laying out and correctly placing static mixers were developed collaboratively and empirically on an experimental setup, to make Delta Wings® an integral part of the Wallstein Group’s product portfolio in the future.
