Between 12 and 13 September 2013, ANDRITZ Energy & Environment hosted the biannual symposium on flue gas cleaning in Graz. The Air Pollution Control Division of ANDRITZ Energy & Environment welcomed more than 250 interested visitors from all over the world...
The foci of the symposium were current projects as well as long-term experience with flue gas cleaning systems. Various guest lectures by experts from industry and business reported on news and experiences from the field of flue gas cleaning.
Wallstein Ingenieur GmbH (WIG) was represented by Messrs Dieter Wallstein and Mariusz Maciejewski. The presentations and discussions with partners and customers confirmed that there is always potential for heat recovery in the field of flue gas cleaning. The European climate and energy package of 2009 in particular committed EU states to comply with the 20-20-20 objectives to be achieved by 2020. These goals include the reduction of greenhouse gases by 20%, a 20% market share for renewable energy and a 20% reduction in the consumption of primary energy by increasing energy efficiency. WIG heat recovery systems can also make a decisive contribution to meeting these two requirements.
