Laminar flow hoods (LF hoods) have been an integral part of our product range for the pharmaceutical industry for decades. They are used as top-mounted systems above filling and packaging systems to reliably protect pharmaceutical products and operating personnel from particle contamination. Thanks to a high-purity, low-turbulence displacement flow, they create defined cleanroom conditions that meet the requirements of GMP cleanroom class A (ISO 5).
The functionality of our LF hoods is based on precise air routing: ambient air is drawn in, freed of particles and converted into a vertical clean air flow by a laminarizer. This effectively protects the machine work area from contamination, prevents the ingress of particles from the environment and removes existing particles without backflow.

We design LF hoods individually according to the specific requirements of our customers. The systems are planned as 3D models and manufactured to the highest quality standards. The modular design enables customized sizes and versions, while manufacturing in our own production plant ensures maximum precision. On request, production can also include the control cabinet cabling so that delivery is completely ready for connection.
The comprehensive service includes documentation and validation in accordance with the GDP standard. This includes installation (IQ) and functional qualifications (OQ) in accordance with EN ISO 14644 or VDI 2083. We also carry out filter integrity tests and measurements of flow velocity, sound level and light intensity. If required, a CE declaration of incorporation is provided in accordance with the Machinery Directive.
Our LF hoods consist of robust housings made up of intake and discharge housings. High-quality materials such as stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) ensure durability and corrosion protection. The hoods are equipped with pre- and main filters (HEPA), laminarizers, fans with radial impellers and measuring devices for air velocity and differential pressure. A nominal air velocity of 0.45 m/s ± 20 % ensures that cleanroom conditions are reliably maintained.
