Wallstein Holding GmbH & Co. KG

Wallstein Group contributes to the improvement of economic viability and environmental friendliness at a cogeneration plant in Poland

Last year, one of Poland’s largest cogeneration plants has already awarded Wallstein a contract for construction, fabrication and shipment of flue gas cooler modules for the heat displacement system. We have delivered the modules for Line 1 of the plant in August 2021.

A follow-up order was received this year: the flue gas cooler modules for the heat displacement system of Line 2 is planned between August and October of 2022.

The heat displacement system (HDS) improves both the economic viability and environmental friendliness of the power plant.

The flue gas cooler modules integrated in the HDS withdraw the heat from the flue gas before it enters the desulfurization unit (FGDU). A closed water cycle uses this heat to reheat the gas after it leaves the FGDU.

The heat exchanger pipes used in the corrosion-resistant flue gas cooler modules are made of 100% fluoroplastic, on par with state of the art technology.

We are pleased with the new order and the customer’s trust, and wish our team every success.
