Wallstein was able to assert itself in a highly competitive environment and in January received a further international order from Catalyst Recovery Europe SA in Luxembourg.
This includes the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a single-stage unit for treating exhaust air from recycling processes. Thanks to perfect teamwork and strict organisation, installation and commissioning were completed in seven days and production was started again. The new facility, a GFRP scrubber column and an efficient quench made of durable materials, ensures that SO2 emissions from various operational sources are consistently precipitated and the exhaust gas is cooled in the quench from 200°C to about 70°C. A downstream cyclone separator ensures minimal liquid discharge and therefore more efficient use of important environmental resources.
