For a large teaching hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia, we have developed and manufactured four steam sterilizers featuring integrated steam generators (up to 120 kW) and various chamber sizes. The autoclaves will be commissioned before the end of this year.
Steam sterilization is the most dependable sterilization method, used in medicine and test laboratories, among other applications. Here, steam sterilizers are mostly employed for sterilization of liquids (nutrient solutions, growing media, etc.), instruments (pipettes, Petri dishes, test tubes, etc.), surgical instruments, and medical devices, as well as in order to inactivate contaminated goods. In medicine, appliances of varying sizes are used for sterilization purposes, with an internal volume of up to several thousand liters.
We will also perform regular maintenance of the steam sterilizers, as well as ensure their faultless functioning. Particularly today, in the times of increasing threats of bacteria and viruses, the topic of hygiene becomes tremendously important, especially in the medical sector.
