We have performed a replacement of an existing gas-to-gas heat exchanger at an industrial waste incineration plant in Bavaria in preparation for a revision planned for October 2021. For this purpose, we replaced the safety cooler with an existing gas-to-gas heat exchanger which had already reached the end of its service life.
Our gas-to-gas heat exchanger is made up of 1 stage that enables crude gas cooling based on cross-flow principle. The system has a leakage-free configuration where crude gas flows through the stage via horizontal pipes while cooling air flows in vertical cross-flow around the pipes. All pipes of the heat exchanger are made of carbon steel.
